Eastern Washington Univ

Eastern Washington University Installation

The Equipment Guys did an excellent job with the install at Eastern. Matt was able to break down and set up 11 platforms in the matter of 2 days. They were professional, cooperative and communicative. The athletes love to look and functionality of the new platforms. They have helped us feel like we've taken a step up as a department.

Bluffton University Sommer Center Installation

The whole process of meeting with Nick and Matt was fantastic. They spent countless hours talking and walking us through this process as we wanted to be as thorough as possible.  The equipment is first class and is designed and built to add on in the future based on what the current is in the industry. The flooring is outstanding and it has gotten positive reviews from all.  The installation part of this process has also been smooth and timely. We needed to have it done by a certain date for our public dedication and they were able to meet that deadline.
Overall, the whole process and experience has been first class and I would highly recommend The Equipment Guys to anyone that is considering doing anything (new or upgrade) in their weights  and fitness facilities.

Question:

What is your training schedule during the season?

Answer:

We train 2-3 x per week.

Sunday is a total body workout for the entire team. Scheduled in groups throughout the afternoon.
The workout contains:
Complete warm up and pre hab exercises (shoulders/hips/core/hurdles to name a few)
Clean pulls from the floor
multi joint lower body exercise (squat or leg press)
Incline bench press
Pulldown/pull ups and/or rowing movements
4 way neck
Shrugs
Along with other shoulder work and bi/tri/grip work

THE NEXT LIFT IS WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY (BASED POSITION GROUPS)
That lift is very similar WITHOUT THE MULTI JOINT LOWER EXERCISE
Complete warm up and pre hab exercises (shoulders/hips/core/hurdles to name a few)
Clean pulls from the floor
flat bench
Pulldown/pull ups and/or rowing movements
4 way neck
Shrugs
Along with other shoulder work and bi/tri/grip work

There is a NON TRAVEL workout on Fridays as well which is a total body format.

The goal is to continue to get stronger/recovered/physically prepared for the next game.  Each player lifts a minimum of 2x per week. Some Players lift 3-4 x all based on development.
